had canon photomarathon yesterday at suntec convention centre. there were thousands of people, and i think 8 from crescent. thank goodness i did not blog yesterday because it will be a very very frustrated post, and now that i feel more, cooled down (though not much, i snapped at almost everyone in my house today ): ) i shall blog!
well we met at suntec at an unearthly hour of 715am. cos well, organisers say registration is at 730am. so we paid the money, collected a bottle of water and a canon shirt. 1st the shirt was too big for me though it was S, 2nd, it was BLACK in color. so it was damn hot the whole day since it keep absorbing heat. finally the thing commenced at 930am or something, and the first theme was change. like wth, anyway i went with yingli to take our pictures but i could not think of anything cos i am very uncreative, duh. in the end i went to eat macs.
second theme was dreams and the last was freedom. very philosphical themes indeed.
when i was on the bus, i saw a high shool musical ad which said "BIG DREAMS... BIG CHANGE... HSM3". which made me totally suspect the organises took their themes from HSM. and why freedom? well hsm3 is about whoevers' last year in school right? so maybe they are like free from school you know you know... my interpretion rocks, the organisers are tres creative...oh and now that i think of it, it explains why someone who took a picture of a girl with a HSM3 poster won. *suspicious suspicious*
to cut the long story short, we took all forms of transport, changed transportation at least 10 times and i had no inspiration for any themes at all, resulting in me getting sidetracked and buying all kinds of food on the way while yingli takes i-dont-know-what. we travelled from suntec to IR construction site to esplanade to orchard to bugis and chinatown, clarke quay commonwealth queenstown city hall telok blangah alexandra point speakers' corner and one million other places which never existed. of course i was tired and i did not even want to take any photos any more after the first theme cos it was very demoralising to have no ling gan heh.
basically the whole thing only has a good point, i found the gatcha machine with the wii capsule which i have been looking eons for my blythes :D
canon gave out prizes like fliers given out on the streets. 3rd prize you get an ipod nano and an slr camera, like wahhhhhh. in fact we wah-ed so loudly the people in front of us turned back and stared :X now think of what they give out for the 2nd or 1st prize. anyway i doubt i will join anything so large in the near future, its too tiring and frustrating. the whole event got delayed for like 4 FREAKING HOURS. so it ended like at 10+pm. was damn tired and snappy and cranky already.
