in a bid to make my blog more informative, i shall blog about my trip to
TAIWAN~~~
we went from 10dec to 18 dec.
pardon if there are too much irrelevant references 8D

10dec
took the train to changi airport with our luggage. thank goodness it was manageable. in the plane i watched (500)days of summer which was deadly boring to my utter surprise, and gokusen, which was very heartwarming and nice and made me feel all fuzzy inside ^^
anyway i only had time to watch 2 shows because the flight was only about 4hours and so much time was taken to make announcements both in english and chinese.

by the time we reached taiwan, it was pretty dark. it gets dark really early because its winter, like about 5pm. our driver brought us to this place in taichung to eat some delicious beef noodles. apparently the stall sells their beef really fast and so by the time we reached there, there was only one chunk of beef left and we had it. then we went to a night market and i bought a blouse there.

our driver bought us really nice red tea. the teas there are all much more reasonable than singapore's, espescially since they are bigger. i love them! except for some Assam packet milk tea i bought, it tastes horribly sweet. and i bought 12 packets. >_<

we drove to some orchard. there were lots of flowers. like seriously. all owned by the local government.

then we went to sun moon lake.

this is where the water from the ground comes from to fill the lake and keep the water level constant.

then we went up to yu shan and ah li shan. yu shan is taiwan's highest mountain if im not wrong. the roads were scary because there were large rocks threatening to roll down any minute, and there were quite a number of road works along the narrow roads to fix the aug 8 typhoon. so it was quite scary.

this is our hotel for the night. it was extremely cold. the heater didnt seem to be working. the temperature was 7deg celcius. amazingly, even though this hotel is in the mountains, there is internet access!!

oh and the beanie ^_^ my sister was trying to puff up her fur part to make her seem like gjp entering the school door. xD

away from the cold place! we left for gaoshiung. on the way we stopped at several places.

we stopped at several food places too. this popiah, from chiayi if im not mistaken, is deliciously gigantic!

we caught the sunset at this park in gaoshiung. the police in the park rode on these horses. one gjp's, one jihu's. lol. notice the J on the horse's butt. ~itmustbefate~

amidst all the sign board is the street sign. gong shan. gong chan. my girl. my sister spotted this. really!

ai he (love river). i think clarke quay is more happening. but this river is wide and very serene~

STOP HYPERVENTILATING. i forced myself to read chinese, and the difficult type of chinese somemore, just to try and understand whats being written. and while i try, i ate my doremon pancake ^_^. all from 7-11.

we went to dream mall today. it probably was pretty boring because i cant remember anything besides the colorful ferris wheel which we didnt sit and a game arcade which we spent many yuan on and didnt win anything.

then we took the high speed rail, which is like a bullet train, to taipei.

stayed at Y hotel for the rest of the days. convenient location but quite disappointing. there was no free wifi. i mean, this is in the city! even the mountains had. -_-

JUN plaza. LOL. in ximending.

ate this that night. the drinks and rice and soup are refillable. so is the vegetable. just that, most people would be too full to do so. worth the money thought $$ :)

OH WHY SO QTPIE >) and why is my sister drawn to the other poster instead? nvm, support local artistes, except, i dont feel he is supported much here :/

LOL JERLENE DOES YOUR HEARTBREAK? i mean, heartache? or both? they used this poster to wrap a box! i searched it. no more big bang posters. D:

this was the museum of hot springs. an ancient building.

eh weather looks good again. i think its only that day. yeap.

amazing building with a gazillion boards.

ice cream with no cream. it just tastes like really fine shaved ice.

ate this for dinner on my own. it was damn filling but good.

my sister and friend bought identical spiny bags and they were just squating at one corner and some passersby asked them if they could pose for a photo with they bags. O_O LOL. couldnt stop laughing later.

GHS like, goo hye sun xD i really do not look out for them.

i thought this was cute! we went to the national palace museum and looked at exhibits of the yongzheng qing dynasty.

then we went miramar, which sounds like myanmar. hahah okay not funny. it was a boring place because malls are boring like that. im trying to think what we did there but i cant recall. oh we just walked around and my legs were really sore :(

ate this for lunch. the egg tasted horrible.

then we walked around in the area till it was evening.

i ate macs for dinner because im a really boring person. the mcdonald's there is quite stingy.D: they do not give more than one packet of ketchup. !!!

sprained my stupid neck when i woke up and felt like a vegetable the whole day. it was very cold because it was pouring. my sister and i stayed in the hotel while my parents went to some hot spring.

took an afternoon nap before going to ximending (expensive stuff) again and then to the final night market. didnt get anything for myself except for a hairband. pathetic stuff. besides, i wasnt in the shopping mood cos my neck was hurting like crazy and it was freezing cold. and so now im back in singapore and regretting. everything was pretty cheap though they seemed to be in hundreds of dollars. grah. theres always another time *consoles myself*

all the stuff bought. okay i chose this picture to pose because my sister looks hilariously silly and gay ^__^ note, all those canvas shoes are my sis's. seriously. hahahaha they were pretty cheap. i dont even see what i bought for myself there. except for some doll clothes.

ate this at the airport lounge while i was waiting. most of my food i take are like eaten because only when im eating halfway i remember to take a photo first. heh.

didnt see any celebrities sobs high hopes crushed. okay i wasnt expecting anyone. really. then used the internet a while before taking the plane back to singapore~

i watched the korean "where the truth lies" about some murder mystery thing which i thought was pretty cool, though i didnt like the ending; and coco avant chanel halfway before they took away the earphones and all i did was read subtitles. and i didnt get the movie much either.

and i sat in the inner centre of the window seat and some guy sat on the aisle seat and i had to keep going to the toilet D: and he was sleeping at some points. so my sister pulled up the window shades so that the bright light enter would and wake him so that we could ask him to let us out. x_x

wow i took 2 hours just to type this post and upload the photos and sort them out. oh no, is tmr sunday? sheesh it is~~!!!! D: D: D:
