last friday i watched 50/50, the one where jospeh gordon-levitt acts as a cancer patient and seth rogen as his best pal and it was one of the best movies i have watched in a long while. it's so poignant especially at the part when adam (joseph) finds out kyle (seth) has been reading on how to battle cancer together with his friend, and kyle has circled and underlined parts of the book, amidst the tough and jokey exterior he appears to have. and then it gets more touching when kyle sends adam to the hospital and stays there throughout the whole operation and adam's parents and kyle's emotions so.. real and it tugs my heartstrings ok. so the tears started like flowing and everytime i think i got them under control, the next scene is like even more touching :')
it's seriously such a good show because it's very raw and frank.
watched Arthur Christmas with my mom and sister at 11pm yesterday. i thought it was gonna suck because its like those animated 3d thingum, which i dont have a big thing for. but it turned out pretty good. it's about this boy trying to preserve an authentic christmas and the stuff were really cool and high tech and i guess relevant in this digital age cos it shows how santa works with technology. anyway the cinema was filled with adults because no parent in the right mind would bring their toddlers or kiddos to watch the movie at midnight right. and when there were exciting// sudden intense moments, the whole cinema would dramatically, or in fact, over dramatically yell// scream// holler in surprise// gasp and it's actually pretty amusing because one would expect children to be making so much noise but actually all these adults are into such things too haha. like when the lion suddenly pounces on the sleigh everyone was like *AHHHHHH GASPPPP*, as if we were on that sleigh instead.
oh in the morning i went for a medical check up and the doctor was freaking fierce. she asked me to read the alphabet chart to test my eyes so i thought i should let her know i was wearing contacts, and she retorted with a "so you cant read with contacts?!" and i was like woah ok manz i can. then she told me my reading is horrible but seriously those alphabets are MINUTE. but damn, means my eyes really suck or something, i cant even read stuff that are near me apparently.
then i had to take a blood test which i thought was pricking my finger and getting some blood but nooooo it's some jab shit and one whole tube of my blood was collected. before she injected me she asked me rhetorically "which hand do you prefer?" while opening the plastic to the needle and im like "i dontttt knowwww im scaredddd" and she ignored me completely and even sternly told me i better not move. and she took my left hand and just injected and i looked on as she drew the blood ONE FREAKING WHOLE TUBE gross.
my arm feels like its not there now its so hard to lift it up and it feels very weak, its like just a thing hanging from my body. im not sure if its because of the injection (where she injected hurts when i bend my elbow) or is it because i carried many bags of heavy drinks today ow ow ow.
