last night i deliberately leaned on you. you put your arm around me and pulled me closer. i held your hands tightly. both my hands felt small in comparison. you hugged me. time stopped. i felt your warmth. i felt your nerves. i was nervous too. and shy. and ecstatic.

last night i woke up and realised it was but a dream.
last night i tried so hard to fall back into the same dream.
but the only thing i fell back into was a sweet melancholy.
